2007 Round Up Participants Chosen |

February 5, 2007 - Five local, non-profit organization were recently selected to participate in the Paragould Light Water and Cable’s Round Up program for 2007. Round Up is a program dedicated to providing customers with an easy opportunity to become involved in their community.
Customers can Round Up their monthly utility bill to the next dollar amount and the spare change is then evenly donated to local, non-profit organizations. Any non-profit organization can apply and PLWC employees then vote to choose the five organization that will participate in the program. By choosing only five organizations, PLWC believes that the donation will more greatly benefit the participating organizations. Last year, each organizations received over $1,540 in donations. The Round Up Program has raised over $59,300 since the program began in 1999.
The 2007 Round Up participants are B.E..E.S Senior Citizens, Children’s Homes, Goodfellows, Greene County Rescue Squad and Mission Outreach. |
